We were able to troubleshoot a system with a huge fault from the original installation 4 years ago!
The Belimo modulating valve was installed backwards closing when it should open and vice versa! This caused the pump to “deadhead” every time the DDC turned the pump on causing premature failure. This issue was not noticed because there are 2 pumps and 2 indirect heat exchangers.
We rectified the issue, replaced the failed pump quickly, and ensured the customer had no problems moving forward.
